I had a very emotional time this afternoon. My brother has been away for almost 14-15 months without contact except for letters. Today, Mom got to Skype with him for Mother's Day. Mom was amazing and kept her composure. I really don't know how she did it.
I got a minute with him and he gave me some stern advice about how best to proceed in my life. It was hard. As soon as I got off I lost my composure. After he was finished talking with everyone we all sat with him and he offered a family prayer. I couldn't hold it in. I left as soon as he was done.

I spent the past few days in great discomfort. It turns out I caught a nasty stomach bug. It's nothing deadly... but it still hurt. I went to work yesterday and after an hour and a half, I had to go home. I ended up spending over six hours at the hospital. Three shots, two bags of fluid, and a car ride home put me out like a light. I finally ate food this morning, plain white toast. It was good to eat again.
Life is hard.
I'm sitting in my bed watching the movie Hancock. It's about halfway through and I just thought to myself "it's nice to see the good guys win every now and then." I can't help but wonder sometimes "where is our happy ending?" By our, I refer to many people on this earth who live with unfortunate circumstances. Life is hard. It's so easy to break the rules, to focus on unimportant things, to forget all (everything) that matters.

I'm not certain why, but I decided to look into deviantART today. This coming August, this amazing siet turns 15 years old. It's a crazy thing to think about. I also took some time to review the changes between logos. There is a wide variety of art on the matter. These works range from praiseworthy endeavors that salute the new logo to those that would compare it to a swastika.
Speaking strictly in terms of the new logo, I'm not a fan. I understand its meaning visually but at the same time I feel it looks more like a giant letter X. However, I am a proud man and once a decision has been made I generally stick to it. I follow a simila
